Akershus

Akershus Storybook Dining Royal Banquet Hall  is such a gem!  Almost like a little-known secret that can rock your world if you have little princess fans!  Many people want to do Cinderella's Royal Table to eat with the princesses, but it books up quickly, takes 2 table-service credits, and can be loud and a little rushed.  While the experience of eating IN the castle can be great, for those who can't or don't want to visit there, Akershus is an excellent choice!!

Located in the Norway pavilion at Epcot, Akershus is tucked away and is absolutely delightful!   It is a buffet character meal (we like breakfast best), and various princesses come to your table to meet and greet.    They take their time, make it truly special, sign autographs and pose for endless photographs.  Periodically throughout the meal, they host a "princess parade," where kiddos can go around the restaurant with their favorite princess, waving to the other guests.  Even at 12, my daughter loves this!  It is absolutely a must-do for us, and I highly recommend it! (Note:  Unlike CRT, It is only 1 table-service credit on the dining plan).    Also, it's is VERY close to Frozen Ever After and the meet and greet with Anna and Elsa, so if you can score an early reservation, you might sneak into those two experiences with little wait!

4 different princesses come to your table and there is a princess procession.  Our 4 princesses have always been Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, and Ariel.  You can see Belle for a photo and autograph when you come in.   I am not a princess fan, but the food is great and my sister loves it!
I give it 4 stars!!

My 12 year old daughter's opinion of Akershus:

Meet Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, and Snow White while you dine in a royal castle.
I warn you to NOT book this for dinner.  Book breakfast.  Dinner is disgusting.
I love getting to meet all the princesses!
You even get to go on a princess procession.
There is no photopass for Ariel, Aurora, Cinderella, and Snow White, so bring a camera!!

FIVE STARS, NO QUESTION!
